Have you started a trial of a Data Center or Server Atlassian Marketplace application and run out of time before you can make a purchasing decision? Do you need more time to play with an Atlassian Marketplace application? Do you need another trial to give your procurement team more time?

You can create a new Atlassian Marketplace application/plugin trial license with a few clicks. You can do it up to 5 times, extending your trial period from the default 30 days to 180 days.

Here is a step-by-step instruction on how to extend your trial license for any of the Atlassian Marketplace apps

We will use Move Work Forward Advanced Microsoft Teams Jira Connector as an example.

Here is the video demo on How to generate a new Atlassian Marketplace app license.

Do not forget to log in to Atlassian Marketplace with the Atlassian account you use to purchase Atlassian applications for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket or Bamboo.

Go to the Atlassian Marketplace and select the product for which you need a trial period - the first or a subsequent one.

Select the required deployment option and then press the "Try for Free" button.

Press "Start Free Trial" and provide the necessary data to the Marketplace.

After pressing "Generate License" to generate a new Trial License.

If the required Atlassian Marketplace Jira or Confluence application is not installed yet, you can download it on this page and install it.

Install app following the instructions below.

Note: You must have administrative rights to install an app.

  • Open your Atlassian application and log in.
  • Navigate to the administration section. You may need to log in again (we're super secure).
  • Choose "Apps", then navigate to "Manage Apps" (the "Install" section in older versions).
  • Click the "Upload App" link and upload this file.

To apply the license find and select the required app in the user-installed apps list.

Click on the "Edit" near the License key field and insert your new trial license key. Then press "Update" to update your license key.

You will get a system notification that your license has been updated. Now you have a new 30-days trial period.

Above is the easiest and quick way to prolong your Atlassian Marketplace app trial license without outside help. If you still need assistance, contact the Move Work Forward team.

Apply your Atlassian Marketplace app license

  • Navigate to the "Manage Apps" page of your instance (the "Install" section in older versions).
  • Locate your installed Advanced Microsoft Teams Jira Connector Data Center app in the list.
  • Click the app entry and copy and paste the license key into the license box for your app. All done!
