From October 8–10, part of our team had the incredible opportunity to attend Atlassian Team Europe 2024 in beautiful Barcelona. The conference was packed with inspiring sessions, brilliant conversations, and insights into the future of work. Here’s a quick recap of what we learned, experienced, and are bringing back to our team.

Connections That Matter

The heart of the event was the people. We met so many cool and smart individuals, including Atlassians, partners, and customers from all over Europe and beyond. The brain dates—intimate, focused discussions—were a particular highlight. These gave us a chance to deep-dive into topics that matter most to our team, like migration strategies, integrations, and emerging AI capabilities.

We also had the pleasure of meeting several Atlassian Solution Partners, exchanging ideas on how to better support customers through tailored solutions and services. These connections are key as we continue to expand our network and improve our offerings.

Collaboration Over Great Food

One of the standout moments was an evening at a Georgian restaurant in Barcelona. Beyond the delicious food and vibrant atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for our team to unwind and strengthen relationships with other Marketplace Partners. We took the opportunity to discuss collaboration strategies and GTM (Go-to-Market) approaches, finding alignment and inspiration for future initiatives.

Learning from Real-World Challenges

Our product team took full advantage of the event to learn more about the challenges customers are facing and how they’re navigating today’s tech landscape:

  • On-Premises to Cloud Migration: Customers shared their experiences and best practices for moving from Atlassian’s on-premise solutions to the cloud. These insights are invaluable as we think about how to support and innovate for this growing shift.
  • Integrations with Microsoft Products: We explored how organizations are seamlessly connecting tools like Microsoft Teams and Azure DevOps with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. The potential for tighter integrations between Atlassian and Microsoft ecosystems is an exciting opportunity.
  • Building Rovo AI Agents: One of the most forward-looking topics we explored was how to design and implement Atlassian Rovo AI Agents. These agents are poised to revolutionize how teams work by automating repetitive tasks, providing intelligent insights, and improving collaboration.

A Party to Remember

No Atlassian conference would be complete without the legendary Atlassian Bash! The party was a perfect mix of networking and fun, letting us celebrate the community and unwind after days of absorbing knowledge and sharing ideas.

What We’re Bringing Back

We didn’t leave Barcelona empty-handed. In addition to a ton of new connections, we’ve come back with:

  • Fresh Product Ideas: From feature enhancements to brand-new possibilities inspired by customer feedback.
  • Deeper Customer Empathy: Listening to real-world use cases has given us new clarity on how we can help solve the most pressing problems teams face.
  • A Baggage of Problems to Solve: These aren’t just challenges—they’re opportunities for innovation.
